I get massages all over the world, so I have a pretty good sense of what to expect. The first place we tried was overbooked, so we ended up calling this spot instead. Just a heads up—they speak little to no English, so you’ll need a translator app to communicate. When you arrive, you have to fill out a form before your massage, similar to what you’d do at a chiropractor. We booked a couples massage, but they didn’t have two beds in one room, so they separated us. Not ideal, but fine. After taking us to our rooms, they immediately asked for payment before any service. I’ve only experienced that once before—and never went back. They only accept cash, though there is an ATM on-site, so come prepared. When I paid only for the massage itself, they kind of looked at each other like they were expecting a tip upfront. I made it clear (twice) that I would tip afterward. I usually tip generously—often close to half the service cost—but I want to make sure the service is worth it first. The massage itself was just okay. I had requested deep tissue on the form, but the pressure didn’t really get there until she worked on my legs. The tip thing really just seemed rude and unprofessional. When we left the room they stood in the lobby area and kept repeating “tip, tip” over and over. For that reason I’d never return. Editing to add to owners comment: Waiting until people are in their rooms getting undressed is “securing payment” it’s awkward for your guests. They absolutely expected tip. They asked during payment and after the massage. My partner and I-although in separate rooms had the same thought to just leave. But my shoulder was hurting (although as I soon realized she barely massaged my back-so still left in pain) so we stayed. I didn’t mention this in my initial comment but she kept asking if I wanted oil, what massages have you had where they raw dog your skin without oil? Just the whole experience was just odd. I gave it two stars bc at least my partner enjoyed his. The smell is terrible almost sulfur gases.
